David Gandy Launching M&S Underwear Collection Debut HimselfIf you have been paying attention the men’s fashion industry, you have heard of David Gandy.  He has graced many catwalks and has modeled for some of the biggest names in the industry.  His new project is teaming up with M&S (Marks & Spencer) to create the ultimate in men’s sleepwear and underwear.  The underwear collection will consist of trunks, boxers, briefs, and hipsters.  Here is what the Daily Mail had to say about the new launch:

Gandy has lent his brains, as well as body, to the new collection, putting his decade of fashion and modelling experience to use by helping with the design of the 28 pieces.

He said: ‘It’s a really exciting time for me, seeing the collection that we’ve worked on for almost a year go into stores all over the world. Being able to visit some of those, meet customers and fans and see their reactions to the range we’ve created is something I’m looking forward to a lot – I hope they like it!

I’ve focused heavily on the detail of every product from the quality of the fabrics, great comfort and fit, to the signature houndstooth print that features on the packaging and internal linings.

‘Hopefully, together, we have created an underwear range that is unique, offering a premium range available at high street prices.’

Gandy worked with M&S underwear experts to develop a new exclusive slim fit underwear in four key styles; boxers, trunks, hipsters and briefs.

The 28 piece collection starts at £20 for a two pack of briefs or boxers, vests are priced at £15 and sleepwear starts at £22.50.

To launch the range, Gandy will make a personal appearance in M&S’s Marble Arch store. He will then travel to Dublin, Hong Kong and Paris to personally unveil the collection.

This is the first time M&S has globally launched a new range this way. In total this year, the range will be available in over 350 stores worldwide and online.

Scott Fyfe, director of menswear at Marks & Spencer, said: ‘We are so excited about launching the collection in London on the 18th of September, and hosting a series of international appearances, and I think our customers around the world will love the range.

Time will tell if David Gandy’s new underwear will take off.  From the looks of things though, this could turn out to be one of the best underwear lines to hit the market in a while and promotion looks strong as David Gandy tours the world to show off his new collection.  Comment below to tell us what you think of the new underwear line.
